Sometimes the art world can be so sneaky, like hearing, “hard work and hustle will get you anything!” Okay sure, but I don’t just want to give you a bunch of generic tips and tricks that you should try. I’m going to tell you the exact methods I used to get my first big mural job.

One question I hear a lot from artists that are just starting to get into muraling is if they should paint for free to get some experience. Great question in a time when artists are wanting to prove their worth.

Lately, my clients have been requesting removable murals. Surprisingly, there are a number of options! Since people move a lot more these days than they used to, painting “removable murals” are a great option.

Using a projector is definitely one of the easiest ways to get your artwork onto the wall, but there are a number of problems that can occur if a projector is your only option. Here are just some of the potential downfalls:

So having good supplies, and more specifically, the right supplies can make all the difference. But then, do you need all the name brand stuff? I say if you can buy the good stuff, do it! But, if you aren’t ready to invest in some of the pricier brands, that’s totally fine too.
