Florence is obviously famous for its art, but what I loved most wasn't necessarily the big museums or the Renaissance masterpieces. It was the smaller discoveries. A café tucked inside a bookstore, little art supply shops, wandering into independent stores, and stopping for gelato whenever the opportunity presented itself (which was often).
